Mini profile issues and main profile code
#
A friend and I are working on a new site together and we are having more than a couple of issues as we site build. The latest one is beyond our comprehension and so we could really use some advice.

Due to the issues with CFS these days, I decided that on our current skin (the first was a fail) I would follow the useful guide on converting CFS to HTML. Overall, that part was a success in converting most areas.

But in the past part of the guide, when it came to converting the custom profile part and adding it into our HTML Templates -> Main Profile section, we hit a problem. The skin we'd picked didn't have a .customprofile area to it. I made the mistake of deleting what was already in our main profile area templates and replacing it with the empty base code, recommended in the guide.

As a result our new mini profile isn't working. Is there any way to get a base code for the Main Profile HTML Template somewhere?

If your HTML template is completely blank, it should default to the, well, default template. Ensure that it is completely blank, and save it again. Your main profile template should not be effecting your mini profile in this way - what do you mean by 'it's not working' exactly?

Remove the base code provided and leave it blank, and it will return you to the default template. The template must be completely left blank, no spaces or anything.

I've deleted the main profile template so it's left blank but it still hasn't defaulted.

We're hoping it's not something wrong with the mini profile but maybe it is.

Click here and you should be able to hover over the mini profile and see it work

Ok, after re-reading and checking your forum:

I can confirm that, in general, the mini profile and main profile templates have no effect on each other.

Your forum is also currently showing the default main profile template as expected.

As for the mini, there are just a few elements missing it looks like. Post the full template and also if you can, indicate how it should look so we can try to help fix it,

So to me it looks like the board is somehow using the default mini profile template within the deprecated section.

It looks like maybe the template may not be bound to the skin. In Admin CP -> Skins & Templates -> Manage Skin Sets > Edit the skin set you're working with. Check the HTML Template, If it says System Default then that is part of the problem and you'll need to change it to set you created.

IF that does not fix it:

Under "Admin CP- > Skins & Templates -> Profile Templates" -> Look at the dropdown there. Edit the skin. Do you see any contents in the mini profile under the profile templates section? If so -- blank that out completely.

IF none of that fixes or gets anywhere it we'll try something else, but try those things and report back what you see, sparklygirl25. Sorry for the delayed response and appreciate your patience.
