Direct content access to profile fields
#
Hey dudes. Was thinking, a lot of strain from certain scripts comes from having to get a separate page, and then parse and search through elements to get the content I need which is often just a short plaintext string. Would it be possible to build out a system wherein you could access that content directly? For user profiles, I could imagine this being accomplished with URL parameters, eg jcink.net/user=Dusty&data=field_1 which would load a page that is empty aside from the content in that field.

I do want to make this happen; I wanted to build out an API to get it done a long time ago but it never came to fruition.

What if I... made a json print-out of the profile field data?

A JSON object would actually be a way better idea than page-by-page requests! Plus, that'd eliminate needing separate requests for each field needed, and would make updating the profile a breeze.
