I am having a problem getting embed codes to work on my site. How do I fix that? I'd like to embed videos from Vimeo and a chat box. The codes begin and end with < and >.

If you paste it straight into the board wrappers there should be no problem having those codes show up. A couple questions:

What chat box are you trying to use?
Where do you want these videos/chat box to appear?

If you want them to appear in a post, you need to enable a doHTML tag for both your usergroup and the forum you want to post them in or you can ask someone to make you a custom BBCode for it.

I changed the setting you said to and it still don;t work. Here is a code for one of my videos:

<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/19643945?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0" width="400" height="300" frameborder="0"></iframe><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/19643945">2010 Boating and Fishing Review</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user5906685">Northporttroller</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>

If you are trying to put it into a post you need to then go on a per group basis and also in the forum you want to post it in. Then wrap it in doHTML tags...
CODE

[dohtml]<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/19643945?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0" width="400" height="300" frameborder="0"></iframe><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/19643945">2010 Boating and Fishing Review</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user5906685">Northporttroller</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p> [/dohtml]

Cool, it works. What about embedding youtube vids? Is there something I can do to add these tags to the post reply box?

I am also trying to figure out how to allow the members to post music and videos on thier profile page. Thanks for the help.

I know about the youtube tags, it's already embedded in the reply box options. Can the doHTML tags be embeded into the reply box also?

And how do I make it possible for members to post a vid and music on thier profile page?

You can't add the [doHTML] tag without a code because it is a serious security risk to let all your members have access to throw in HTML code in any post. If they want to do anything involving HTML asking for a custom BB code is much safe.

For the music and vids in profile, go to ACP -> Users and Groups -> Custom Profile Fields and you'll notice JCink tells you how to do this at the top

QUOTE
Special Custom Profile Options:

Enable Profile Music: Add an option titled 'Music:' to allow users to paste a song which can be played from their profile.
Enable Profile YouTube Video: Add an option titled 'Video:' to allow users to paste a YouTube video ID which can be played from their profile.

If "music:" doesn't work, then JCink didn't fix the bug I told him about and you need to use "Profile Music:" instead
