Info needed before official board opening [SOLVED]
#
I'm in the process of bringing back an old board of mine. I'm currently in the process of adding content to it, however, the new concept of the board requires me of knowing the following:

1. Is it possible to embed a photo in the board's offline message?

2. Inside a main forum, if you have sub-forums, the sub-forums are listed first before the threads in it. Now what I'd like to do is to make the thread list inside a main forum appear before the sub-forum list. Is that possible?
#
I actually don't think either of these things are possible, but someone else might know better then me.

The first one is possible, you just use HTML in your board offline message so:

I don't believe the second one is possible - I don't know of any settings for it. It's probably something you can do in the future, when it's possible to edit templates and such, but I'm not sure. For now I don't know of any way to accomplish this.

Do you mean something like this?

> Forum One
>>>Subforum one.
>>>Subforum two.
>>>> Topics inside of forum one.

When you click on Forum One - and are no longer on the index page, but actually viewing the content of forum one - and there are topics posted inside of forum one, they appear in the format above?

And you want it to appear like this?

>Forum One
>>>Topics inside of forum one.
>>>>Subforums one.
>>>>Subforum two.

IF this is what you're after - if you want the topics of your main forum to display above the subforums, then place this piece of coding in your Board Wrappers, immediately below the <% BOARD %> tag.

CODE
<script>if ("<!-- |input_act| -->"=="SF") {var x=$(".tableborder:first");if(!x.has(".maintitle").length) {x.detach();$("table:first",x).appendTo(".tableborder:has(.maintitle):first")}}</script>

What he means is not on the forum index... but the in-forum view where all of the subforums are displayed on the top. He wants them on the bottom.

Unfortunately, there is no way to accomplish this.

Yes, this is exactly what I was after. I have index threads posted with links to the threads inside the sub-forums in "Forum One" and having them displayed this way is far more convenient for me and hopefully, my members. Now whoever visits my board, they won't have to go trough 20 sub-forums in order to find the right thread they want to reply to. All they need to do now is look for the right index thread, and search done. They don't even need to use the search feature. biggrin.gif
