 Images in Custom BBcode
#
I'm trying to convert a doHTML site template into custom BB code, since the creator of the forum is on doesn't want doHTML to be used but likes this particular code. By now I know how to convert, but my issue is adding an image into the BB code. I assume it would be a 2 param code, the first being the image and the second being the actual post. But how would I go about putting it in?

Moved to JFB Support, please post topics like this here next time. Thanks. http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

You would need the board administrator to add the code for you.

I've already looked at that, and it doesn't.

CODE
<div class='sitetemp'>
   <img class='sth' src='/uploads/burnthemtoashes/IMG/miniluv.png'>

What I'm needing to know is how to convert that ^ so that the user can imput their own image. Do I use single or double quotes? Do I place (PARAM1) between the quotes or do I need to somehow edit this to something else?

GMaster479 Thanks, that helped!

Now I have another question concerning the same template. The person who made it put in an ordered list, but I haven't any idea how to convert that so that the user can put as many items as they want, and it continues to count.

Example:
1. list
2. list
3. list
...etc.

...as opposed to:

1. list
1. list
1. list
#
They "should" be able to do it using the list variable
  • Item
  • Item
  • Item

CODE
[LIST]
[*]Item
[*]Item
[*]Item
[/LIST]

Then if you really want it to be numbered, then do this in your CSS

.postcolor ul { list-style-type: decimal; }

One sec I think this will work:
  1. test
  2. test
  3. test

Edit: Yep, even without CSS that should be doable. Here's what I used:

CODE
[LIST=1]
[*]test
[*]test
[*]test
[/LIST]

Thanks owl, I hadn't known about that. But when there isn't enough text, the number is separated from the word(s) by a large space (it's supposed to be centered), yet the person who created it put an example on their test site and it doesn't do that.

At first I thought maybe they manually wrote the numbers instead of using the bbcode (doHTML in their case), but I used Chrome's inspect element to see if there was anything different from the code I have, and it's not.

Unfortunately, due to the complex nature of skins in general it would be impossible to help without a link to the place where you took the first screenshot (and a link to the second would be equally useful, really).
