 Custom Profile - Text Area HTML [SOLVED]

So I am using a custom profile from SHINE rp resources and one of the fields is a text area. I wanted to allow HTML use in the text area. I've read some other support replies saying that there is no way HTML can be used in text area, but I saw it being used on the last site I was on, just basic html tags, like <i> and <b> and <img> and i'm wondering if it's been changed to work now...and if so, how?

Log into your Admin CP > in the left-hand sidebar, click "System Settings" > From the options that toggle below that, click "User Profiles" > Under "Custom Profile Fields" there is an option called "Allow HTML in Custom Profile Fields?" - tick "Yes" - scroll down and click "Submit Changes"

Please be advised that - as far as I'm aware - this will allow pretty much all HTML in all custom profile fields.

Thanks for the help, Owl! Although, I ticked "Yes," but my html in the custom field didn't work.

This is what I put in the field, but this is exactly how it showed up.

Your user group needs permission to use the doHTML tag / use HTML on the board. Even though you won't be using it in the fields, it's still a prerequisite for security and control reasons.

Enable doHTML for your group. After that, you will need to save your profile fields again for the HTML to parse.

Yes, I did notice the note under the HTML Enabling in User Profiles that I need to give doHTML permissions, they are already given.

I'm not sure I understand the last sentence, there. Save my profile fields again? As in, recreate them?

I believe he means just act as though you just edited the field and save it again, from the user CP.

Like go here on your board: /index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=01

Scroll down and click 'Amend my profile'.
