 Mobile mode problem
#
I am having a problem with the display in mobile mode and I am thinking it is coming from the maintitle. None of the changes I have made to that fixed it so it is back to the way it was. I am working on a skin we had used on zetaboards - carousel. The rest of the mobile mode I think works well. Not sure if it is the same issue but the maintitle also does not display properly in the bbcode legend.

Here are examples of how it looks:

Correct on the desktop version

It all seems connected to the maintitle, but I am stumped on what to change.

Thanks in advance for help.

Try finding this in your CSS:

.maintitle { font-weight:bold; color:#cc0000; background: url(https://files.jcink.net/uploads/genoacity/Style_Sheet/h2.gif) repeat-x; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 14px; padding: 12px 0px 12px 0px; text-align: center; }

Replace it with this:

.maintitle { font-weight:bold; color:#cc0000; background: url(https://files.jcink.net/uploads/genoacity/Style_Sheet/h2.gif) repeat-x; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 14px; padding: 12px 0px 12px 0px!important; text-align: center; }

Let me know if that helped at all.

That helps on the mobile mode and the bb code. But now there is a problem on the left and right corners on the desktop mode and they sit just a bit too low. I imagine they just need a little adjustment to line up but not really sure exactly what that is.

I put the code back the way it was because I didn't want to leave it looking like that for too long and all the things I tried failed. But I did grab a pic of it to show what happens when I change the code.

You could apply the change to mobile mode only:

CODE
#mobile .maintitle { padding: 12px 0 !important; }

Thank you Cory! That fixes the mobile version. Any idea if there is a way to fix the bb code legend? That is not nearly as big of a deal thankfully.

This page for mobile mode, desktop mode, or both?

It is happening in the desktop mode. I just discovered a new problem in the mobile mode. I am not seeing the smilies box and so I don't even see the option for the bbcode.

If I switch to mobile mode on my laptop, it takes up the entire screen width. Makes me wonder if there is a size problem in the mobile mode. The bbcode takes the entire screen also but it seems to do that also with the jcink default.

One issue at a time.

Try adding this CSS for the BBCode maintitle:

CODE
div[style="padding:6px"] + br + div.tableborder div.maintitle {
background: url(https://files.jcink.net/uploads/genoacity/Style_Sheet/h2left.gif) no-repeat, url(https://files.jcink.net/uploads/genoacity/Style_Sheet/h2right.gif) top right no-repeat, url(https://files.jcink.net/uploads/genoacity/Style_Sheet/h2.gif) repeat-x;
padding: 12px 0;
}

Thank you, that fixes the BBcode!

This is really an additional issue though seems related. The maintitle seems like it is maybe too wide in mobile mode so that I don't see the left and right corners. I wonder if that is related to why I don't see the smilie box in th emobile mode? As a check, I switched to the jcink default skin and the same thing happens there. I have an iPhone 6s and am using Chrome so don't know if it is related to that.

Mobile mode is completely different that desktop mode; it's more streamlined, and does not include all the features of Jcink's desktop mode. If there are no smilies on this support board when viewing mobile mode, then they probably simply aren't included on mobile mode.

I found one place where this does not fix the maintitle and that is is the popout to view a report for a reported post. I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to target that area. Seems like this should have fixed it also.
